DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Broncos partnered with RAWtools this weekend as part of a regional effort to get guns off the streets and reduce crime.
A Broncos spokesperson said 189 guns were redeemed at the event.
RAWtools is a gun violence prevention organization that takes guns, deactivates them and turns them into garden tools, to be used in community gardens.
Sellers were offered $50 to $250, depending on the type of gun.
